Anybody have any recommendations?  Favorites?  I need to temporarily distract my brain from the chaos of life right now.

Some of my favorites:

It's a Wonderful Life (am I the only one who gets teary-eyed at the end...every year I watch it?)

Miracle on 34th Street

Holiday Inn

A Charlie Brown Christmas

The Holiday

Elf

I enjoyed "Love Actually"

Also liked "The Family Stone" (though not as much).

Both came out in the last couple of years.

My teenage kids like "Bad Santa".

Love Actually is a fantastic movie!

Another good one is One Magic Christmas... it is SO good. I watch it every year.

I like all the old movies too... I have a 2 & 5 year old so we watch ALL the shows! Our DVR is stocked! : )

Hmmm, some excellent movies!  And I love O Brother Where Art Thou, great movie.  I also love French Kiss...

Getting back to Christmas movies, I happened to see a short film written by one of my favorite writers O. Henry called "The Gift of the Magi" but the books are better in my opinion (but I didn't see the DVD that came out called O. Henry's Full House).

Happy Holidays!

Denise

If you can drag yourself out to see a movie (no easy trip I know), Four Christmases was laugh out loud funny. (:

This season so far we have watched:
The Santa Clauses (we own 2 and 3 - need to get 1)
Elf
The Grinch who Stole Christmas
A Christmas Story
Polar Express (not my favorite but youngest likes it)
Home Alone 2 (we need to get one also)

Have left to watch:
Christmas with the Cranks
Deck the Halls

I love Christmas movies and the kids know that during the month of December that is about all I watch during our family movie time. It drives my poor son (sometimes my husband) crazy, but my girls will snuggle up with me on the couch and watch them. We also have them playing while we bake and are rolling all the cookies. Good times!!

I hope you all have a blessed holiday season! Merry CHRISTmas!

Blessings,
Leah
