I had a nurse over this week for the first time to give me an ABX IM shot and was discussing my treatment. I told her if this didn't work I was headed for IV treatment. She told me about
an option called a "Chem port" that goes on the chest and is inserted under the skin. She told me many of her IV patients have this and it is the most sanitary and easy to care for option.
Anyone on the board have this option instead of a PICC line? If so, can you share your experiences??? Thanks!
