Hi All

Hope you're all doing well. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has taken Viaxin along with Mepron.

Whether your experience has been successful or not, would really be helpful in hearing about it. My wife has had some Tinnitus as a side effect to Zith. Her Doc suggested the switch to Viaxin. Any Thoughts? PLease comment. Thx, RMV

By chance do you mean Biaxin?

If so, I too had a bad reaction to Zith and did a couple of rounds of Biaxin and Mepron. Seemed to have done the trick. I have not treated for Babs in a little over a year now.

Hi... thx for your response. Sorry for the Mispelling. it is Biaxin.

Her Tinnitus is on and off. Not sure if your reaction to Zith was anything worse. After you'd you made the switch, did you find it to accelerate your recovery? and how long thereafter were you treated for it to go away? The side effects on these drugs are Mortifying.

thx for your time. Much Appreciated.

I have been on Biaxin for almost 2 years and handle it very well.

I was on Mepron/Biaxin comb0 for 2 months and did not have any issues...other than getting the Mepron down.

Some say longer to treat for Babs, my LLMD who is well known feels MOST cases 2 months handles it.

Like I said, I did not have to treat again and surely hope it is gone for good!

Make sure lots of fat when your wife takes her Mepron!!

Thank You so much for you info. My wife only had Lyme for three months when diagnosed.
Hopefully Treatment will only be for a few more months. She did lose a lot of weight.
It's a process trying to get it back on. Good Luck, Hope you're All Done. Happy Holidays
