hi guys, i could really use some help if anyone is in northern cali.
i have been waiting like two months to get into a doc near me listed on the ilads website. after all the referral processes and calling back and forth, i finally got in touch with them today to make an appt..
only to find out the doc no longer treats or sees any lyme disease patients!!

why would she no longer see ld patients?

so now i have no other backups in this area. is anyone in northern cali who could please recommend someone? anyone just willing to do the test!

Hi gracietiger, Welcome to the forum!  I am in central CA, but travel up to the bay area to see the same llmd as lhcook.  I can give you the names of a couple others in northern CA if you would like.  Just email me and ask.

To answer your question about the lyme doc.......Maybe her practice is full and she can no longer take on any more complicated cases like lymers......or maybe her insurance carrier made her stop----or she was sued by a patient's insurance, or a lyme patient....or she practices in a group that will not tolerate her treating lyme (because lyme is so controversial, complicated, risky etc.)

Best wishes.

thanks babylymers.
lhcook gave me her llmd's info. sounds great. i am very excited. i may request your additional docs if this one is full.
yes, it is quite strange the other lyme doc is no longer taking lyme patients. in fact i was told she no longer treats lymes disease. it seems something definitely happened. too bad insurance companies force docs to do that.
