Did you pass LD to your baby?

I was wondering if anyone for sure knows that they passed Ld to their child via pregnancy. I kow there has been talk of passing it through the placenta but I want to know if anyone has given birth to a baby with LD. Is there real proof?? Please let me know. amey

hi stutterbug! isn`t there a lady in "under our skin" telling about giving lyme to her 4 children? there is a german professor named Volker Brade from the Mikrobiologisches Institut at Frankfurt/Main saying that he found borrelia b. in placenta. another source for information may be this one: Detection of borreliae in the placenta of two patients with erythema migrans

I think on lymenet there is section about families where they all have it and the children are born with it.

Hey there! I have been wondering how you are doing. Is Dr. B. still treating you? Are you feeling any better?

I have had my picc line for about 16 weeks now. I have seen some improvement of symptoms but it's a slow process.

I hope your feeling better.
