hi everyone, i haven't been on the site for awhile because i have to say that i feel so good....  summer of 07 got a bad bout of lyme, babesia, erh. and did the antibiotic thing ... never really felt better.  my chiropractor who works closely with dr. h, suggested i take cowden.... i started in june and by the end of september -- i went off everything.  i can't tell you how much better i'm feeling.  i know those herbs knocked out whatever the antibiotics didn't get.

so i would highly recommend taking them.....  of course, you should do the whole antibiotic thing... i don't think my case was as chronic as some of you all, because i did get treated immediately after becoming symptomatic.

of course, our bodies are all different -- i just wanted to share my experience with you... there were days that i felt like i was going insane ... brain fog, et. al....  it's gone....  i just have to keep close vigil on checking myself for ticks..... even during winter, one warm day and they're out.

so good luck you all....  i hope i continue to feel better.... nice to have my life back.....

I enjoyed reading your post and the positive energy. So glad to hear that someone is feeling almost well. Maybe I should finish up with the Cowdon protocol.

I could especially relate to no where to run and hide. I too am surrounded. The author of Cure Unknown describes looking out in her back yard at this beautiful view, very green, very natural, and full of peril. I must think about ticks a dozen times a day and probably always will unless I move to a desert and even then I will still think about them.

Take care,

Yay for you! How wonderful.

Take care of yourself and be kind to your body.

I took the full Cowden protocol as a way to get off abx when I was better (after nearly 20 months of abx). 6 months later I ended up going back on abx. Bummers for me. I am doing better again (5 months into retreatment). I just saw my LLMD and he said that when he met with Cowden recently they discussed why many patients ended up relapsing 6 months after stopping. Neither of them had the answer.

I am hopeful that this last push and treating Bart (which we hadn't done before) will be what it takes to be done for good.

I am so ready to be done, done, done. I don't know if I will ever get to the point where I don't have to think about it.

Lucy

Sorry to be a downer.

thank you all, i'm hoping to hang in there .... i may just take it again after the new year to keep anything at bay, kind of use it as preventative care...since i have
some leftovers.

good luck with you all, and eat lots of garlic.... maybe it will keep the ticks at bay. people who live on the amazon and are surrounded by mosquito's eat so much garlic and they say it helps repel them..... who knows.... things in nature make us sick and things in nature make us well....

let's hope the legislature gets their act together and helps kick the insurance co.'s butts to help us get the HELP we need to get well....

peace, and happy holidays you all....

For all of you who took Cowden, did you have any stomach issues from it? I just started it and now have digestive problems (bloating, diarrhea). I am taking Enula, Parsely, Burbur, Cumanda, trace minerals and sulfer detox.

Thanks,

no, i never had any digestive problems.... when i started taking it i did notice i had very healthy eliminations (not to be gross - and not diarrhea) ... could it be detoxing?
these tincures are very strong herbs so the fact that you're having those side effect doesn't surprise me.... maybe you should cut back on the dosage? it may not be for
everyone .... maybe you just need to go a little slower..... good luck..... mm
