I have reached my 1 year mark of being on abx. It has been a long time since I have seen any improvement and am starting to get discouraged. Has anyone seen any significant improvement past the one year mark on abx. I am starting to wonder if it is time to take a break.

Thanks,

There are stories of plateauing so to speak.

I'd try to push through or get off and push through that.

I've been on since Oct. Ups and downs, waxes and wanes.

Exercise helps the most. (I think.) But then, I'm on the abx.

I'm just hoping the crepitus ends as well as the headaches, neck pain, lack of motivation and OCD over Lyme.

Yes, I did see improvement in months 11 and 12. One of the reasons is that we added another antibiotic to the regimen. I was on combination antibiotics.

If you are still feeling ill then ask your doctor if there is something that should be added or changed in your treatment at this point. It is possible to reach a plateau where you don't see much change. Are you taking into consideration other factors that could be impacting your progress?

It is tough - don't get discouraged.

When I plateau my LLMD switches the protocal around and that usually helps. I have been treated for 2 years now for Lyme bart and babs. After about a year I went off all meds and boys was I sorry as the symptoms came raging back and I ended up in the hospital for one week then I was on IV for 4 months last year at this time. Now mainly treating for bart and feeling alot better most days. I thing I have had Lyme for about 18 years. My symptoms really began in 2003 after being reinfected and I got a bullseye. Blessings

Thanks for the responses. I have an appointment next week with my LLMD. It sounds like I could use a change in my abx.
