I was watching tv for awhile.. don't remember in what position... i got up to go the the bathroom... and my left leg froze.. it was tingly also... i had to literally sit down because i felt like my whole body had frozen... at which point i burst into tears... i have been doing better... more energy , etc... i emailed my dr... it was so scary... when i went to the bathroom, even part of my private part was tingling... then i massaged my calf and leg , and was able to walk normally again.. but it was a terrifying minute or so... has anyone ever had this? i read that arteminisin can cause neuropathy.. should i stop??

Hezzer: The same thing happened to me walking to the corner one day. My left leg just went numb and I had no sensation in it at all. I am NOT on any meds, so for me it was not a reaction to medication. I think it may be the sciatic nerve, its located in your low back and if you got up quickly, could have gotten pinched temporarily and it goes down thorugh your groin and into your foot. Are you ok now?  D

I don't know what it was.. I am better now.. althought since and before treatment , i have had some tingling on the tips of my fingers and my feet.. it seems like my body parts fall asleep way easier than they used to if they're in a certain position.. its strange... thanks for your help :) how are you doing now without being no meds?

My arms will go to sleep from shoulder to fingertips. They will be totally numb when I wake up even though I haven't been lying in them.
I would blame it on peripheral neuropathy.

Glad it cleared up.
14 years undiagnosed Lyme. I had a bulls-eye rash following a camping trip to NC in 1994. Swollen knees and replapsing and remitting vertigo followed for the next 14 years. All Lyme tests negative. Could possibly be B. lonestari due to being bit in the South.
Just began treatment with low dose Minocycline and Benicar.
