I wouldn't get too excited. Their lyme test is ok but if you are also awaiting co-infection results. Igenex is not $ well spent when it comes to co-infection testing. Their co-infection tests only look for 2-3 of the most common strains of bart and babesia. With 35 other possible species for the 2, then they are missing about 90% of the other species of bartonella and babesia. There are many many more strains that are being missed. Clongen is the best bet for good PCR evidence of the other many possible species.

A few do get lucky and get a positive for WA-1 babesia or Hensalae bartonella etc.

phisinvent,

Any thoughts on the following labs?

Gracietiger (I also love you name!)...........

I posted the following lab information for someone else. They all accept insurance.

Stoney Brook Labs for Lyme Serologies and Western Blot.. The web site is http://www.path.sunysb.edu/labsvs/ticklab.htm

Note there is a form that may be printed out for you to take to your doctor. That applies to the following labs also.

Use Medical Diagnostics lab for to test for Babesia.
The web site is www.mdlab.com
Direct Contact informaiton is 2439 Kuser Road, Hamilton, NJ 08690
TL 609-570-1000 or 877-269-0090
Fax 609-570-1050

You want them to test you for Babesia microti IgG/IGGgM by Elisa.
You could also have them do testing for Lyme along with Stoney Brook.
Ask for:
Lyme Western Blot IgM/IgG
Lyme C6 Peptide by Elisa
Lyme Elisa IgM/IgG

Use BioReference Laboratories for Bartonella, EBV or Epstein Barr Virus, CMV or Cytomeglavirus, Chlamydia Pneumoniae, and Herpes Virus Human IgG & IgM antibodies.
http://www.bioreference.com/lab.htm
481 Edward Ross Drive
Elmwood Park, NJ 07407
800-229-LABS

If Igenex comes back negative or IND I also would not get to excited. I know many good LLMD's that do not use them.
