Hi all,

No, I am not here to promote any products, not botanicals nor antibiotics.   Yet I am grateful that Dr. J's protocol put me in remission as well as many others.

I am posting because this Friday I have an app't to have a ugly mole on my leg biopsied for melanoma cancer.  It has been biopsied several years ago before I even became infected with lyme.    Isn't that funny, I get better from lyme which never frightened me, yet I am scared about melanoma.   I guess because my baby brother has Melanoma Level III and had to have his eye removed and half of his kidney.  So it runs in my family.

The last 2 months a new growth appeared on top of my old ones which has been bleeding so I am a bit nervous.

I know I am not well liked here because of my views regarding lyme disease but perhaps there are a few people who will give me some support.

Thanks,

Denise

Denise, I hope your appointment goes well.  It sounds like you noticed changes early and that you are addressing it early which is good.

Please let us know how it goes, okay?

Hi all,

Dowa, Ticker and Frango, thanks for your replies, yes, I am very scared.

Frango, I understand completely what you are saying and I do agree with you.  All my life I have been told that I come on very strong and I just can't help that, it's the way I am.  I never learned how to sugar-coat my words.

I guess because I became well from Dr. Jernigan's protocol I want everyone to get better.  Believe me, when I first heard of Dr. Jernigan I thought he was a nut or that his protocol sounded kooky to me, I really did (yes, I am admitting that).  But I figured that because I didn't have alot of money that I would try it just like I tried the CS (Silver) and some other remedies..  I figured I would end up throwing that botanical in the garbage as I did not think positive thoughts at that time.. the positivity came into place when I started feeling better.

Anyway, thanks for telling me about your Mom, that makes me feel better.  I am hoping that because I have been keeping my body alkaline (thanks to lyme), that I won't have cancer.

I probably won't get the results on Friday as the skin they biopsy will have to be tested.  I guess I am really scared because of my baby brother and everything he has gone through with his melanoma..

Now I need to stay positive about this, funny, huh?

Deejavu,

First get all that mole out, and get a surgeon to go deep. There's basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas which are not quite as dangerous.

I know quite a few people who had melanoma years ago. Caught early, you'll be okay. Just make sure you have a good doctor.

I am surprised that they just didn't remove all that mole years ago given your family history. No one takes just a "bit" anymore. The whole thing goes out.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Deejavu,
My mom had basal cell carcinoma a couple years ago and it was totally fine (knock on wood). She had a mole on her scalp that wouldn't heal, and that's what it turned out to be. She had the whole thing removed (and actually had to have a little more removed a second time around), but basal cell carcinomas are completely contained. So don't worry too much...there are lots of other things it could be besides the worst thing, which of course is probably what you're thinking of. Good luck on Friday and let us know what you find out.

That's just awful. They can remove it can't they?

My prayers are with you. I don't believe anyone here cares how people get well, just that they do.

We're all after the same thing: a return to our healthy selves.

Hi Dee,

Please accept my best wishes that your mole turn out to be harmless, I really feel bad for you going through this scare, hopefully this is only a scare.

I respect you very much , I see you responding to posts even you feel better, I remmeber how much you helped Kathy, when all of us just felt bad, you worked hard to get her help, I am not ready for Dr J's Protocol but still love and respect you.

Hello Dee,

I hope it all goes well and hopefully they will decide to be on the aggressive side even to give you more peace of mind.

Younger sister lives in Charleston - she had a spot on her outer thigh. She let it go for a good 4 months because she was busy, then went away for the summer. They took the melanoma out 7 years ago and she is fine - very active like you. Needless to say she gets herself and her daughters checked every 6 months, sometimes more if she needs the peace of mind. I also get myself checked every year.

Wishing you the best and be sure to let everyone know how you are.

Hi all,

CherylSue ~ the original mole was completely removed and that was before I became infected with lyme.  During the years my lyme was active I didn't take have regular checkups like I should have, I really thought the lyme was going to do me in, yes, I was that sick.  So I ignored the new moles that grew.

Now I have 3 moles and one grew on top of another which started to bleed and that's why I am really scared.  My Mom had basal cell moles removed several times, she is fine.  It's my baby brother who is in remission from melanoma and what he has gone through that scares me.   Thanks for your wishes!

Alfers ~ Sounds like your mom and my mom had the same thing.  She just had another basal cell removed (the entire thing as her mole wasn't healing either), she is 83.   I hope my new growth is basal, time will tell.  I'm sure I won't get the results this Friday and I hate the waiting!

Hoping ~ I'm sure they will remove it and biopsy just to make sure I don't have cancer.  Thanks for your prayers.

Jeanne ~ Thank you, you have such a beautiful heart!

Gracie's Mom ~ Yes, I am upset and scared.  It strikes me odd that I get better from all these years of chronic lyme and now this!   It's bad enough that I am going through peri-menopause, not fun!  My boyfriend keeps teasing me that I will probably hit menopause by the time I am 80, LOL since I was a late bloomer.

Anyway, yes, I agree with you that there are many ways to beat lyme disease and that we should all respect each other's protocols.   What works for one may not work for another.    Thanks for your wishes!

Judy3 ~ Thanks for your warm words!  I hope this is only a scare too.

bcaring ~ That's wonderful that your sister is fine after having melanoma 7 years ago.  I have to get back into a positive state of mind.   Thanks for sharing your story with me, it makes me feel better.

hiker53 ~ Thanks!  I need as many prayers as I can get!  :-)
