Just a quick question for those of you who use infared sauna's for detoxing. I used to sauna after every gym workout, but that was a while back and the gym is now closed. Do you guys use sauna's at gyms, or do you use them at home. I would like to start using them again, would love to get one for my home, but not sure exactly what to look into getting.
Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Hi Jeminij.  I found the following link interesting:

The gym I belong to has a traditional sauna and a steamroom.  I use both, but I typically use the steamroom more often and for longer periods of time.  For me, the steamroom is very beneficial.  Maybe it is because it is moist heat, I am not sure.  I believe using any of these can be beneficial, but it is important to use them as recommended.

Thanks Ticker. I used to use both steam and infared as well daily at the gym and just loved it. Really felt great afterwards so I wanted to start back up but without having to join a gym right.

I use an infrared sauna. Right now I have a wooden one that is like a little room (it is in my house). However, I used to use one that was like a tent and I loved it. I bought it on ebay for less than $200. I know many who have these and they love them. Search for portable infrared sauna on ebay and you will see what I am talking about.

Hope you are doing well. I am going to try to get pregnant this year- you were on amoxy 500 mg 2x a day, right? I am going to try to set up a consult with Dr. Jones and my LLMD (telephone), but since I don't really want to take zith (may have caused ear stuff for me), it looks like I may be on either ceftin or amoxicillin.

Hope your little girl is doing well too!

Great, thanks for the info. I did take amox 500mg 2ce a day throughout. Of course I had major mornubg sickness all day for 40 weeks so how much actually stayed in my system I'll never know. I couldn't eat anything for the first three months at all, but that is over and my daughter is doing amazing. she'll be 1 on March 1st. I can't believe it.

Hi, I try and use my portable infrared sauna every day for 30 minutes.  I think it's made a difference in the way I feel, and anything that does that is a good thing.  I got mine on ebay also.  If you're shorter than 6feet go with the smaller one not the extra large.  I have to sit on a folded towel on the chair and I'm still too short.
2001 symptoms started:
Tingling in fingers and toes both sides, not tested at that time for LD
2007 Summer tested pos. WB, diagnosed with LD, tested neg for co-infections thru Igenex
Abx - Doxy 100mg 2x/day for 3 weeks (before diagnosis)
Amoxicillin 1gm 2x/day for 1 month
Amoxicillin 1gm 3x/day with Probenecid 500mg 2x/day  5 months
Currently on Dr. Zhang's protocol
