So, if I get hurt at work and can't go back to work I can get compensation above and beyond worker's comp.
But if I get Lyme from working in the woods and don't know when or if I will be able to go back to work I get nothing.
I think that maybe the lawyers I talked to just don't want to deal with this.
Anyone have any experience or comments?

What the lawyer told you is not correct. I suggest you try contacting another lawyer.

Where do you live Woodswalker? I have the Best Lawyers in America, 2 volume 2005 edition (2008 was $900!! and this one was only 20). You should get a second opinion from the best of the best to settle your mind.

hi woodswalker!
I keep my fingers crossed for your success for compensation;
I found an article some months ago about the ongoing struggles here to get lyme classified as an occupational disease of forest rangers due to the fact that such a large number of them tested Lyme positive and an above average number of them (need to) get early retirement.
Good luck!!!!!! dorit

I just don't see how it could stand up in court. How would you prove without a doubt that you got Lyme while you were working?

Good Luck!
