In response to your statement:

Exactly. My adrenals were fatigued and that is exaclty what would happen. I would drag myself out of bed at noon and then I'd be ready to party at mid-night.  (: D

What did you do to make it better? Does it just get better w/lyme treatment or do you treat the adrenal problem? Did you have a test that showed you had adrenal problems?

The test is called Adrenal Stress Index and is by Diagnos-tech, Inc. (tel 425-251-0596) It shows your adrenal function in a 12 hour period, you do four tests. Any environmental doc will order it. Dont know about LLMD.

The treatment that was suggested to me was natural cortisol and DHEA. I decided against it because of Dr. S feeling about taking cortisol with mold toxins. So I am taking eleuthero root (ginseng). If you can take cortisol, I know many people that did well on it.   D

I am waiting for adrenal tests through the above lab. My doctor suspects high cortisol at night due to some insomnia and the fact that I have the most energy then. He thinks my cortisol levels are flipped.

He recommended I take 2 capsules of Phosphatidylserine (PS-100) 2 hours before bed. It helps to lower high cortisol. It does not lower a cortisol level that is normal, however.

Hope this helps too.

Kitty: Is that a prescription or a supplement?  D

Seriphos (sold over the counter-google it, is Phosphatidylserine) It helps to regulate the cortisol at night.

Dowa- OTC. It is a bit $$. 60 pills (30 days for me) was ~$30-ish.

beths- Interesting the Sephros is nearly the same thing, but maybe better?? The site cals it "Phosphorylated Serine". It says it is less expensive and more efficient.

I will ask the doctor. Thanks.
