I am having bloodwork done next week to check on the status of my lyme treatment. I'm currently off abx but my dr suggested we do more bloodwork and go from there.

I have not been tested for an coinfections and think (while it is overdue) that I should have it done now. Does anyone know what lab tests you need to test for coinfections?

I ask only because I had to suggest to my dr that I get the CD57 test done and he never suggested that I be tested for coinfections so I'm probably going to say exactly what I would like. Thank you!

Hi abanana07.  Many Lyme doctors use IgeneX Lab in Palo Alto, CA for Lyme and co-infection testing.  Their website is www.igenex.com and their phone number is 800-832-3200.

My Lyme and co-infections panels was done at IGenX.
Lyme poss, but co-infections neg. But I have Bart, babs and erhl symptoms and are being treated for them.
I asked by LLMD about CD 57 and she didn't think it is a very useful diagnostic tool. She bases all my treatment on my symptoms. Whether that's good or not? we'll soon find out.

But keep asking lots of questions. My LLMD expects me to be expertly informed Lyme. And I have a lot to learn still.

good luck!!!!
