Sharp Pain in Ear

Last night when I went to bed I was having those random sharp head pains, and then woke up with a sore throat. Throughout the day, I've had a really bad earache, with sharp pain that comes and goes in only my right ear.

Does this sound like a sinus infection or Lyme symptoms? I can never tell and I don't know whether to go to the doctor or see if it goes away.

Lyme can make your ears feel clogged up and give you ringing in the ears.

Ear problems including pain, dizziness, and ringing were among my first symptoms. In fact, I was initially diagnosed with an ear infection. For me, when I first start Zithromax, it causes the ear troubles to flare up, but it eventually subsides back to its "normal" level. I also frequently have sinus troubles when my ears flare up, and I never had sinus problems before this.
