If not this Jennifer I was wondering about you. Are you doing well?

Have you had a more recent cd-57?

I hate to see that 3 on your signature.

Ummmm - (que the music) - "Where do I begin.... to tell the story of how great lyme disease can be.... a true love story that is older than the sea..."

I went to Dr. C on Tuesday. He has decided not to fill out long-term disability forms anymore because, once you're disabled, he thinks your PCP should do this. Well, I haven't seen my PCP in years... so this makes no sense, but I do have a rheumatologist who'll "sign anything". But, since my pshrink still thinks I'm nuts, Hartford won't be cutting off my disability.

I have mounds of new blood tests that my husband's friend (who's a dr. and who knows another dr. in Europe who's going to look at all the results) recommended. Dr. C agreed to draw the bloodwork for these tests. I had an Xray and an MRI of my neck on Thursday..... and I'm having the long put off pelvic sonogram sometime next week.

Other than that, life is just as peachy as it can be. Am I the one who said "this was my year" "this year I am going to get better" - etc., etc? I must have been on pain meds when I wrote that - haha!

HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING?

?

LOL!! I know right.

Im sorry that ur shrink thinks your crazy. My shrink understands me and Lyme disease.. or maybe shes just playing along and really thinks im a nut. tongue Maybe it's time to find a new one. I have tons of articles on psychiatric forms from lyme disease and all the jazz if you can get her to read it. Lyme can causes a whole host of psychiatric conditions from bipolar to hallucinations to depression and many more. Your best chance of disability is to have as many medical visits as possible so they know your really sick. Mine was approved in record time, a month after a filed. I had numerous ER visits, doctor visits every week for a couple of years time. The only way you can win is if you have a record of all of this. Seeing a shrink is also very good for your case. You need her to understand how disabled that you are and how much it effects everyday things. Your too tired to do anything and when your not sleeping your in too much pain to get out or go anywhere. You need to make your disability clear so doctors can overlook the "oh but you look healthy" thing I have actually had doctors tell me that I look really healthy so it must be in my head. eyes Lyme is invisible except for inside our bodys, sometime that is a benefit and sometimes that is a challenge.

Jennifer

Glad to see you are still soaring with the Eagles, and the Turkeys have yet to get you down!

Interesting on the disability. I am wondering if Dr. C has come under some kind of microscope as of late. He has changed alot of things.

I saw him on the 13th. For the 1st time in 2 years, all my "normal" bloodwork that one would have done came back perfect. Not even showing any inflamation anymore.

So why then am I not 100%? Who knows. I think it has alot to do with my age and starting into menopause...sheesshh...Just what I needed added on!

Hang in there...the sonogram will not be so bad. Beats having the transvaginal. That was a JOY!

UPDATE:

1. My LTD insurance through my employer needs/wants/desires a new APS form to be completed within 21 days - haha!. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY NEED THIS "NOW" WHEN MY MEDICARE SSDI AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD WAS JUST APPROVED - MAY 2008.

2. My LLDr, Dr. C, won't complete my Long-term APS disability forms. He says my PCP should be doing this. (I have seen my PCP maybe 2x in the past 8 yrs. I can only hope he's been copied on everything.)

3. My back-up RA doctor, Dr. V (Dr. "He'll sign anything"), retired 01/31/09.

4. I assumed my March 4th appt. to see the now retired Dr. V would be covered by his replacement, Dr. R.

5. I (of course) assumed wrong. I just received a postcard from USF saying I have to RESCHEDULE my appt. to be seen by the new Dr. R. - who doesn't know me and may not sign the LTD APS form.

6. After 2 complete pelvic sonograms, I now need to have a biopsy of my uterine lining. Should I ask my OB/GYN to complete the LTD APS? Or should I wait to see what the pathology is from the biopsy?

7. I just had a neck MRI and Xrays which shows a bone spur at C3 and C4. This was found by my pain management dr. who will be giving me 2 steroid shots in between C3 and C4, and C4 and C5. However, I cannot have this done until the pathology on my uterine biopsy is known.... should I ask my pain mngmt. dr., Dr. S to complete the LTD APS?

8. Now I need to (re)schedule an appt. with the new RA, Dr. R at USF which means it will probably be like 2 - 3 months or more until I can get in.

9. I need to schedule an appt. with my PCP, Dr. M.... which means it will probably be a few weeks or more until I can get in. I don't know if he'll sign my LTD/APS forms.

10. And lastly, I FINALLY got well enough to file my final outstanding medical claims with CIGNA. Every single one of those claims was DENIED in error.... so I had to write them 3 friggin' letters to try and straighten this out.

My life is so grand and peachy (OR "LYMIE") I can't hardly stand it!

Just a quick note, as I am running ou the door....

Try and have your PCP sign it. He SHOULD have been copied on everything...I would start with him first.

Joy oh joy
