Hi There,

I currently on Doxy but I am about to start DR Cowdens Protocol. The doctor that I'm seeing for treatment has little experience with lyme and can't advise on the best course of action to take Taking doxy with the cowdens protocol or to stop the doxy and just use the the cowdens.

Hello there. I also tried the Cowden protocol but stopped it last month after no progress was seen. I was on it for a couple months. Just out of curiosity how much are you getting it for each month? The doctor I had originally told me it would be $800 a month. Apparently the profit margin on the Cowden protocol is pretty high. He ended up reducing it to just $400 a month because he knew I was broke. He told me that was at his cost. Unfortunately it did not seem to work that good for me and I really did not have that much money to throw around each month. It is also quite the commitment for a Lymie mixing up concoctions in a bottle 8 times a day plus the pills. I really don't see how taking Doxy would hinder the protocol. I have seen other doctors and told them about the cowden protocol that I was on and they just laughed at me. eyes If you know that its really working for you good luck. Let me know how it turns out.

I did a modified Cowden protocol for almost 10 months. I wish I had done the abx first. Faster positive effects with the abx.

I would skip the Cowden until I were in remission and then just use them as a followup. They are not a first line defense, IMO.

Do the doxy.
