Hi All - I woke up this morning and felt okay. I decided to get up and clean my kids rooms. Going through old toys and throwing things out. I was not moving at a fast pace but after about 30 minutes I started feeling tired, my vision became a little blurry and my neck and back of the head pressure began tightening up. I stopped to fix myself something to eat and I started feeling funny. My stomach started tightening up and I had to go to the bathroom for #2 suddenly. (Sorry for TMI just trying to understand what happened) After that I still was feeling very tired but tried to eat a little somthing. All of a sudden my knees started feeling very weak, my legs felt so heavy and I felt like I was going to pass out. I couldn't catch my breath. I tried to lay down in bed but that made it worse and my heart started pounding very fast. I was going to call 911 but I started taking some deep breaths and it has slowed down.

Anybody know what could have happened? I've been on antibiotics for 4 weeks and thought I was on the road to recovery but feel like I am kidding myself.

I had the similiar experience several times now. The GP (regular doctor) thinks it may be my gallbladder. I did have a scan and the results were "sludge" (not stones) in my gallbladder and I was told that most likely I would continue to have the problem and it may worsen. I have had several months of IV abx so it is not a complete suprise. Just share it with your doctor on your next visit.

There really is no pattern to this crazy Lyme!

Good Luck!

HI VirginiaLady,

I had a similar experience, but just after I had come out of a hot bath. I saw spots and thought I was going to black out. And nothing could help me feel right.

Similarly, I have been on abx for about 4weeks.

My best guess, maybe for both of us, was that it was a herx reaction. You were moving around and getting your heart rate up, which like exercise can bring on a herx reaction.

I have a question into my doctor just to be sure it wasn't blood pressure or something.

But, at this point, I am taking it as a good sign that your body is still fighting Bb off.

My guess is a herx also. I had similar experiences when I first started Doxy. I was confined to bed for about two weeks. After that had a couple of episodes similar to what you describe when I nearly collapsed. If you are supposed to take your abx with food (like doxy) that may have triggered something. But it could be more serious so call your doctor.
