I saw the trailer and it kinda sucked IMO. I think "Under Our Skin" is waaaaay better.

hi everyone- i saw 'under our rskin; too. and yes it is amazing. but any new movie about lyme will be good for our suffering and awarness about lyme. the article i read about the new movie 'under the eight ball' was a very poorly written article. it had very little information about the movie and its message. it was very confusing too i really didnt get it at all. that;s why i would like to see the trailer. but it sounded like from one of these responses that the trailer is as bad as the promo article. maybe we should give the guy feedback. so, still cant find link to trailer, i have tried everything on the web. so if any one has the link please post.
feel good! take good care of your selves!

ok finally i found a link for the new lyme movie that worked for me and my MAC. it is www.undertheeightball.com/ enter that and you will get to a few links for the trailer, and they downloaded just fine.
i feel that any movie about true lyme, the stories of its victims, and all that we go through, is a good thing. so i hope this movie get shown in theaters.
thanks for your help everyone.
also it will be a great day when my spell checker does not pick up 'lyme' as a misspelled word!! :-))

absolutely!! But I think this movie is more focused on how the government engineered Lyme as a Bio weapon that was tested out on people and spread too far. I would defiantly see it but not get my hopes up as how good its going to be. Not sure if im making any sense but I think under our skin is more focused on the effects on patients rather then where it came from in the first place. This is more about a government conspiracy and Lyme as a Bioweapon. Not that I don't believe in the possibility of it being created as a Bioweapon but that is almost irrelevant at this point.

SickInCT-
i bet you are right about this movie being more about the conspiracy theory than anything else. i really liked your point that 'it is almost irrelevant at this point". never thought of it that way. i have only heard about the conspiracy theory about 8 months ago. was shocked when i heard all the rumors....but personally i find it very hard to believe that the government would really do this on purpose. accident maybe. but then again i dont see how. it all seems so far fetched. i guess i will see this movie just to see what the guy has to say. and anyone who puts this much into a project about lyme must care about our suffering in some great way to have enough motivation to take on a subject like this. so i will support him just for caring and helping get the word out about lyme in any way.
thanks! take care!

Hi everybody! I know that the date of the last entry was a looong time ago, but I thought I'd post a response anyway. :) I wanted to let you know about another Lyme movie (though you've prob. already heard about it by now).

It's called Lyme life, and stars Alec Baldwin, Emma Roberts, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon, Jill Hennessy, and the Caulkin kids.

The Lymelife trailer is: http://vimeo.com/3693504

I was kinda confused as to whether or not Lymelife was mocking Lyme, in a way, or instead, showing the true devastation of it. So I searched for some reviews, and found this article:

http://www.prweb.com/releases/lymedisease/lymelife/prweb2308224.htm

For "Lymelife," it says in that article I posted what the inspiration was for touching on the subject of Lyme. Turns out that one of the co-writers had a highschool girlfriend whose father had Lyme, and committed suicide. So that experience has always stayed with him, and he wanted to bring awareness to the issue (just like the Under the Eightball covering Lyme b/c of his sister suffering so much from it).

It's SO exciting that we have these movies in addition to "Under Our Skin." It seem like the tide is turning for the Lyme community, thank God.

P.S. Alexa...I LOVE your comment about Spell Checker and Lyme! Wow, that would definitely be something worth celebrating!!! I also would REALLY love for non LLMD docs I've seen to stop saying and writing "Lymes" and "Lyme's." LOL
