Hi All,

I have never even heard of Lyme disease until about 3 weeks ago, I started getting earache and jaw ache, then a day or so later headaches. I decided to try to self diagnose on the internet to see if i could stop them, which is when i discovered an article regarding Lyme and displaying some of the symptoms. I friend of mine is a nurse and have asked for her help in an email shown below.

Hi Emma

I would value your opinion on something.I have pasted a link below and I would like to read it and tell me your thoughts. I need to know i'm not going crazy!

Ok a few things to know before you read it. For the past 2 weeks at Marks i have been bed bound. I get up to eat with Mark and his wife Sigrid, also a ciggy and toilet business etc. Apart from that bed.
I have to have a cushion under my knees when using a laptop because my legs cant stay bent for to long as they tire easily and also the laptop causes minor discomfort. Other symptoms at present are pains in my neck, back and shoulders, the balls of my feet are very painful making standing and walking a pain (haha).
Trying to maintain a regular sleeping pattern is impossible, if i try to sleep usually the pains or constant pins and needles in my legs keep me awake. Also my restless legs seems to have progressed into minor seizures nothing major just 1 or 2 jerks, always when i try to sleep.

Oh and I have told you about some of my psychological issue. Please let me know what you think.

Chris
xx

forgot to add constantly clenching my jaw, its driving me mad also earache and headaches. :)

Well thats about all i can manage at the moment need to try and sleep. Will come back tomorrow to check your thoughts

Night all

Hi Sirmassimo,

Welcome to Healingwell, sorry you have not been feeling well. First off I am not a doctor, but I would say your symptoms are common with Lyme disease. Do you recall ever being bit by a tick, or another insect? Have you ever had a rash? You should now that less than 50% of people infected with lyme disease ever get a rash. I would suggest reading the newbee tred at the top of the page and learn as much as possible.

Good luck

Your symptoms sound like Lyme. The pain in your feet sounds more like bartonella, which is a common co-infection with Lyme. I would suggest that you look into both infections as possible causes. You may have one or both.
