I saw this on the Sloan-Kettering Integrative Medicine website
14 years undiagnosed Lyme. I had a bulls-eye rash following a camping trip to NC in 1994. Swollen knees and replapsing and remitting vertigo followed for the next 14 years. All Lyme tests negative. Could possibly be B. lonestari due to being bit in the South.
Just began treatment with low dose Minocycline and Benicar on 12/08.
TGF B1 and C4a very high indicating inflammation.

Thanks, Kitty!! Whoa! Maybe I should stay away from this stuff.

I know Mesosilver isn't suppose to turn a person blue...but really, it seems like no one knows if it actually helps or not and that last report of the fellow with the prostate problem looks pretty scary.

Thanks again for the info. It doesn't sound worth it...taking this stuff.

Thank heavens someone is posting some sensible information about colloidal silver. Why anyone would risk it, pay for it, ingest it, bathe in it, you name it.....I just don't know.

Thanks for the info. I've been skeptical about colloidal silver. Why take it if it's not an essential mineral?

I think it is safe when used in small amounts for short periods of time. Many MD's still prescribe silver nitrate for wound cauterization, and it does work very well for this purpose.
Chronic Lyme Disease, Gluten & Sulfite Sensitivity, Many Food/Inhalant/Medication Allergies & Intolerances, Asthma, Gut issues (dysmotility, non-specific inflammation), UCTD ("Secondary Lupus-Like Syndrome"), Osteoporosis, Anemia, Lymphopenia, intermittant Pancytopenia, chronic malabsorption/malnutrition, etc.; G Tube; Currently TPN-dependent.
Meds:  Zofran, Pulmicort, Heparin (to flush PICC line), IV Cipro (for G-tube site infection).

I've drunk gallons of colloidal silver and the only side effect I had was the cessation of a recurring urinary infection. The 1st time I tried CS for a UTI, I only took about a pint and that didn't help. The last UTI, I drank over 1/2 gallon and that worked. I still had burning upon urination and a few sublingual drops of Oreganol stopped that.

The medical establishment is very adept in instilling fear in the public of alternative treatments. I doubt that CS is as dangerous as aspirin.

I have a cyber-friend that is so sick from Lyme that she can hardly walk to the mailbox but she refuses to try CS because she's afraid she'll turn blue. I say, better blue than a ghostly white.

Poorly made CS can cause argyria. The cases of argyria that I've read about came from making CS from tap water or from adding salt to speed up the process. I use a SilverGen SG6 and I feel it produces a safe product.

I don't take CS regularly but only when I feel an infection coming on.

On another forum there was a member that claimed he drank one gallon of CS per day for 10 years with no ill effects.

I have been on the CS since about Oct. They gave me pint or so right into my port.
I am blond with pinkish But think that the blue men are
no..the guys who turned blue were making it in their garage. funny!
Your body passes it. All of it. I take it now three times a day. But that is not the only thing that I take.
I had suffered from lyme for 5 years. And now I am better....tired as all get out...but much better!
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.
