Tonight, I am going to try my first detox epsom salt bath... Awhile back, when I first started treatment, I took a hot bath and I felt AWFUL after.. my heart was racing and I was so exhausted... Why is that? I'm hoping my body will be able to handle it now, but I am nervous..

Hi hezzer926.  Heat and increasing the body temperature can affect the bacteria, and some people feel worse from these baths.

The water should be warm, not hot.  The eventual goal is to stay in for twenty minutes, but I recommend trying a few minutes at a time to see how you react.

Are you currently being treated?

I do them daily, faithfully. The idea is to start with water as warm as you can stand and to stay in until the water cools down. I was told that if you get out too soon, the toxins can remain in the tissue. As the water cools down, it DRAWS the toxins out and that is why it is better to give it some time. Of course, like Ticker said, if something is bothering you, get out. I just wanted to say, be patient and yes, put your head as far under the water as you can. First few salt baths may give you a headache, but you will know then that it is working. VERY IMPORTANT, take a shower after the bath, to rinse the toxins off of you.    D

Healing earth would also be a possiblility for detoxing besides the sea salt KeepHope mentioned; I love it very much; but I would suggest a rest after all the detox baths.
