I never used to be this way.  But the past 3 years, I've noticed tears come easily when watching movies.  The story doesn't even have to be really sappy or sad.  And the flood-gates open.  I watched "The Notebook" for the first time tonight...tears streaming down my face.  Anyone else have this "easily cry" problem?  If so, did it get better with treatment (make you less emotional)?  Or am I officially certifiable now. tongue

Hi teenLymer!  "The Notebook" is one of the saddest movies on earth.  I may have cried for two weeks after seeing it!  I saw it in the theater and every single person there was bawling!

I believe that tick-borne diseases can cause some people to be more emotional.  If it happens because of them, it should get better with treatment.  I think that crying over this movie shows you are a very caring person :)  So if you are "certifible" it is not because of this!

Yeah Teen,
I cry extra easy with movies too.
But you really picked a whopper!!!! Like ticker said; its pretty sad!! But wasn't it awesome!! I wish I could
write like that. But my "love stories" would turn out to be more like a Steven King movie though. I think I've seen too many scary movies in my life.

But I relate with you with the emotional stuff though.....
I'm a ER nurse that love's blood and guts; the bigger trauma the better. Now, I can't handle watching CSI on TV. For my career sake, I hope that changes!

I've been trying to stick with the comedies latetly.
You know what I mean?

hey teen,
Are you kdding???? the notebook made me cry my eyes out...
I was like sobbing...during the whole thing.
The other thing that I noticed was that I was acting like the older women...with althzmeres...lol.
What next for you...Lassie? hahahaha
Well no tears could not come to me when I was sick. When I told people that I had gone to europe to through myself off of a cliff...I could not understand why they did not think it was funny. I was not joking.
The only time that I cried was when I lost my kids to my x...well I gave them to him. Because I could not remember where I was most of the time and sometimes forgot how to drive. This I also thought was funny....really.
I had a women tell me off..I have known her for 30 years....but did not even have the slighest memory of who she was. Well she was furious..and she told me off...thinking that I was a snob....and yes..I thought that was funny too....
lol
Crying no....laughing at everything yes...like a crazy women.....I would laugh so hard that I would cry...does that count?

yeah luper good idea...
comedy...
but I had to watch PG movies for a while there. because the scary or action ones...or the news about something terrible happening to a child...it gave me chest pains...
I had to avoid the news for a long time.
It is only now that I can watch nancy grace...and I don't get chest pains or night mares anymore..but I do cry and get really mad!

Thanks, everyone!  It was an awesome movie, but i sure bawled my eyes out!  good to know i'm not the only person who cries easily at movies.  i really enjoy finding well-made movies, but they often make me cry.  i even used to watch the blood and guts, ER, SCI stuff, but can't anymore.  My family's comedy section of our movies has increased since Lyme.  I've had small boughts of laughing at something where i should be crying...so you're not alone Martha's Vineyard.
