My doctor just changed my abx regimen. I've been on steady abx for about 1.5 years. He wants me to change to a rotating schedule where I take higher doses with days off. I've heard of other people doing this, but I'm slightly nervous. Has anyone here made this switch? Did you have any problems with the higher doses? In most cases, I'm supposed to double what I'm currently taking. Did you have any increased side effects or GI issues? Did you herx more?

I'm a little worried how I'll react to the higher doses. My GI problems have been a major roadblock to taking medications. I'm also concerned about liver problems, although I haven't had any so far. I won't mind the herxes as much as long as I get better. The good side might be that on my days off, my GI tract might feel better, and I might just feel better overall.
