Is there an opinions on this doctor?  My husband had the tick/rash in Sept of 07.  He was treated with antibiotics at that time.  He felt fine and went on with life.   He had knee surgery Oct. of 08 for a torn meniscus and about a week after and continuing he is experiencing extreme pain to even put on a shirt. Mostly the shoulders, one side worse than the other.   (Some say surgery is a stressor and can cause the bacteria to flare up in the body.)  He was tested for Lymes and it came back positive.  The doctor here put him on doxy for a couple weeks , then a month of ceftin..(this was Dec/Jan 2009).  He does not feel better...some days more tolerable than others.  He has become very upset as he has talked with others, watched "under the skin" and now is really obsessed with the disease and getting the best treatment.  He is considering driving the 8 hours to Wisconsin to see a Dr. H. in Waupaca.  I have seen he was under attack to try to suspend his license.  Does anyone know of this doctor and his methods of treatment?  We live in north central MN, and if someone good is closer, it is a long ways to drive to hear the same thing over again.  In fact, he has had a call into the internist that last saw him in Fargo, and the doctor has not returned his call.

I know of two LLMD's in the Brainerd area. You can go to Lymfighters.org and call up Tracie for more info.
