Fox News is reporting that the gunman who killed a pastor in a St. Louis, Illinois church this weekend was suffering from mental illness brought on by Lyme disease. I haven't been able to find any corroborating stories from other news agencies yet. Stories like this terrify me given my own struggles with mood swings since I became ill. Has anyone else heard about this?

I signed up for Google alerts on Lyme disease, and there are alot of stories about it.  He had lesions on the brain, and there was a story about his struggle with LD in their local paper.  It will be interesting to see what comes of this.  Such a sad story all around.  My thoughts and prayers are with all involved.

In the article, there is another link you can click on for a story done in August 2008 called "Lym disease diagnosis can be difficult" http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/stlouiscitycounty/story/AF0C86A732027CD286257574004FB937?openDocument
