Does anyone know a good Gastroenteroligst in Chester County PA? Maybe one who recognizes Chronic Lyme or Lyme at all....
I HAVE to get this upper left quadrant pain/pressure checked out.  I think its causing nausea now also.  Im really scared it may be something bad, really bad.  But I have been dealing with it for years and have seen so many people on this site having a similar problem.  Im hoping its just one of those things.

Hi GL,
I wish I knew of one myself.  I work with two well connected LLMD in the area and neither of them know of a GI doctor that is knowledgeable about Lyme.  If you happen to find one, please be sure to let me know.  Good luck!

i used paoli g.i. associates.  i tell any doctor that i see that i am treating for chronic lyme.  i don't make an issue of it and i long ago stopped anticipating that any specialist would factor in my diagnosis.  you need to get your pain checked out to rule out any pathology other than lyme disease or one of the co-infections.  just because we suffer from lyme doesn't mean that everything that bothers us is lyme (although, truth is that since i've had lyme - everything is related to it). let the g.i. do their thing.  i am doubtful you will find lyme literate docs.  my dx was gastritis and hiatal hernia. i have learned to eat smaller meals and chew my food to mush.  good luck.

Hi GLbaby,

Sorry you are dealing with this! I know of a lyme literate GI doc who might not be too far away. I think he's in NJ and his name is Dr. Fried I think. He may only treat children, but I'm not sure. At least he might be worth looking into.

I think it's always good to rule out other things, but it very likely could be lyme/coinfections. Have you been treated for babesia?

Thanks so much everyone!

TB...I havent tested + for Babiesa and Im just hoping I dont have it!  I dont have night sweats or anything.  I have LD and Bart.  That may be the problem.  The Bart can cause Adenolymphapathy which is right in that area frequently too.  Im going to look up Dr. Fried

this is starting to feel like Gastritis and I have often thought it may be a hernia too.  I THINK its Lyme related I truely do.  I just dont want to walk around thinking its cancer or something!

I may end up at Paoli GI...I work at that hospital..
