I just had to share my great news. After a long search and a lot of hard work, my fiance and I are now buying our first house and it is so wonderful. We feel like we won the lottery with this most beautiful place for us to raise our 1 year old daughter. With that said, even with lyme disease (and I still have my not good days), life does go on and great things can happen. With the birth of my daughter and now this unbelievable place that we are getting and then we are planning our wedding, I couldn't be happier and more excited. I hope lyme won't get in the way of this good fortune, but regardless, it is wonderful time in life and I can't wait to move in.

Congratulations, Jeminij!! That is wonderful news. I can't wait until I can buy my own house (still several years away, probably). It is always great to hear happy stories from people living with lyme. Can you share pics of the new house?? (I'm a real-estate junkie.:) )

Oh yes. It is a great distraction to focus on something really positive. It helps so much to be excited about things. My daughter keeps me pretty busy and distracted, but I am a designer as well and am looking forward to making this new house our home. We are in a small one bedroom rental right now so to move into a brand new construction home is beyond our wildest dreams. I am looking forward to all the new "firsts" in the new place. And I hope to leave all the lyme behind me at the same time. But, positive things and mind help for postive healing and I like most, sometimes get stuck in the negative.
I will post pics once we are in.

Jeminij, congratulations!  I hope your move goes smoothly and that you have a beautiful wedding.

I bet going from a small one bedroom apartment to a new home will feel like living in a mansion!  Keep us posted on your progress.
