Hi ticker -

I know my question is bit off topic but as you being one who knows - could I ask you to please tell me how I can post a link without this "copy+ paste" procedure so that one can click on the link and get there directely like with your links ?? I didn`t find out how to do this no matter if I use the post reply or the quick answer button.

Thanks a lot in advance! dorit

Hi dorit.  When I post a link here, I copy the link from the site or from my computer files and then paste it into the post.  Then the person who clicks on the link in the post should be able to go right to the site.  For instance, if I wanted someone to see this page I highlight and copy the page http://www.healingwell.com/community/?f=30&m=1429649&g=1429731#m1429731 and then paste it here.

Does that make sense?

Thanks so much for answering ticker; I usually did it as you describe it but never managed one does not have to do the copy paste thing, it`s never like yours: blue / colored and underlined and you have to go over it with the mouse and click and ....the site comes up.

I will try it again with this site right now.... http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=1429649&r=r till now nothing... may be I need to submit ?? we will see in a minute...

ticker -- see, it is a big miracle - it does not work !!! bcaring for example seems to have the same difficulty as she was also asking about it when I posted my last link.

Hmm if only I would knew the trick....
It seems you automatically create this direct linking when you do it ?? greetings, dorit

Hi dorit.  I am sorry it is not working!

When I paste the link into a post, it comes up pink and it is not underlined.  I change it to blue and underline it here.  Try posting the link again and underlining it to see if it works.

Hi ticker -

I assume it may have something to do with the editor !? I was at the help side and I obviously do not have the editors mentioned availabe; when doing a post reply like right now it says mcode is disabled, right above the Emoticons, left side to the message space; so I cannot chance color or underline something like you can; uff .... I am bit a goofy with this stuff!! I will keep on trying to check this out but have to wait till tomorrow.... all the family computer freaks are already in bed- 11.30 pm here already... first night in "summer time".

Thanks again for your help!! dorit

Hi dorit.  That is strange.  I don't know why you cannot change color etc.  I hope your computer gurus can figure it out!

Are you in Europe?

Do you have a Lyme doctor there?  If not, I know of one.

dorit,

The browser you are using may not support this functionality and/or may have a setting that needs to be changed.

Ticker,

I think it does have to do with the browser you use. I suspect you use Microsoft Internet Explorer which gives you the ability to format your posts within the message box.. I use Mozilla Firefox and it does not work. Dorit - do you now what browser you use?
Greetings from bcaring!

Guten abend, dorit,

I thought I would jump in here to see if I can help.  Mozilla foxfire indeed won't let you post links.  I am not a techie type person and so I can't tell you why this is.  I use internet explorer and it lets you do this.  When I use internet explorer and I am typing a post, there is an icon up in the toolbar.  It looks like a miniature globe with what looks to be a chain link below it.  You can click on that to make your link active.  If you post a "copy and paste" a link.......you can alway email a moderator.  We can usually activate them for you.  I try to activate any of those that I happen upon.  I hope this helps, good luck!
