I figured I would post this here- maybe you all know this already, but I had no clue LOL
I have been having lots of hypoglycemic episodes over the last few months.
I had been hypoglycemic when I was pg, but haven't really had too much of a problem since them.
I mentioned this to my llmd today. She has that in certain people who are susceptible to hypoglycemia, abx can set it off.
Just thought that if you were having strange symptoms, it could be low blood sugar.

Hi MarriedtoLymeinNJ. I have had many episodes of low blood sugar wtih Lyme. What can help with this is eating several small, healthy meals throughout the day and cutting out sugar and processed carbs from the diet.

yeah, that is what she told me- but I am a recovering anorexic and my first reaction was one of horror! Eat between meals! AHHH! :D
She suggested a few nuts or a piece of cheese between meals, so hopefully I can get my brain around that w/o feeling too guilty LOL
Thanks!
(and is there no end to the weirdness of this disease???)

Hi MarriedToLymeInNJ,
Wow, your nickname is hard to type, LOL.
I have been having low blood sugar for years. Protein is very good for low blood sugar. Almonds are good to snack on and not very high in fat. Fish and cicken are also good. Anything that has protein in it. It's also good and healthy for you too.
6 small healthy meals are actually a whole lot better than 3 big meals. The 6 small meals keeps your body and sugar in your body working right so you have less or no episodes of low blood sugar. Eating more often keeps your body leveled. It should be healthy meals though.
I hope this helps you out a little. I pray that you can recover from the anorexia. Good luck with everything.
