Yes insurance usually covers it. This was my first line of self treatment before finding out I had lyme. I got the tip from the book Yeast Syndrome and got my dentist to prescribe it out of desperation for burning tongue issues. Let me tell you a little about this powder. First of all it works better than any other form of nystatin because it is pure mold spores no additives or sugar to make it palatable. Yes mold that works to kill fungus...It was developed in New York State hence the name NYSTATIN. It tastes pretty bad sort of bitter/sour but worth the misery of swallowing it. It is important to swish it around in your mouth and let it stay there as long as you can stand it before swallowing it. It needs to TOUCH all the infected spots in order for it to work (KILL YEAST)from your mouth to your anus and be prepared for a terrific herx from the yeast die off. Usually you take it in a little water about 3 times a day. Blessings

Did anyone else get compounded nystatin powder and was it directly covered through insurance? I can't seem to find a compounding pharmacy that will accept my insurance.. United healthcare
