Hi everyone, first time poster here. I've been on a long course of antibiotic blends including: Ketek, Levaquin, Biaxin, Doxy, Mepron, Malaron, Zithro...think that's it turn for almost two years now. Most of my symptoms are gone. I had severe fatigue, migranes, and stomach problems. I'm still having severe brain fog and depersonalization that I've recently realized might be caused by anxiety. Since I've been on treatment for so long and almost all my other symptoms are not problems anymore, is this still being caused by my condition (lyme/co infections)? I live really close to my doctor and it's easy to get an appointment with her. I saw her 3 months ago and I mentioned I still had brain fog, difficulty concentrating, short term memory, thinking, speaking, and writing fluently (as you see in the paragraph). In the recent months since the appointment I've been very busy and stressed with work and moving and it (brainfog) has gotten almost as bad as before I started treatment 2 years ago. Is this related to my lyme, bart, and babesia? Has anyone else experienced this? Advice? Comments? Suggestions? Currently on Doxy, Mepron, and Malarone 3 times a day. What should I expect to hear from my lyme specialist when I make the appointment? Last appointment went very well, I was feeling the best I had felt in years but still had some lingering brainfog but no fatigue that I mentioned to him. I didn't say anything about anxiety because I didn't think I had it but after reading more about it's clear to me that I do, but I'm not a doctor. Thanks!

My feelings of being detached from myself, others and life - apathy- was from bartonella.
I thought it was all lyme but after treating bartonella I feel much better, more motivated and energized. Only trouble is the treatment left me with muscle damage. what you describe sound like bart - anxiety and depersonalization You might need to tweek your treatment a little to attack the bart.

Thanks for the response nefferdun. If you don't mind me asking. What prescriptions where you taking that helped you treat the bartonella? How long did it take? How did you know when it was clearing up?

The brain fog, anxiety, etc. suggest Lyme to me. If you have co-infections, it can be harder to get rid of the Lyme.

I'm coming up on 2 years of heavy antibiotic treatment, is it reasonable to still have such serious symptoms?
