My osteopath doctor did the CD57 test and my result is very low.
I'm torn what to do now. Do I go to a infectious disease doctor
Once you got a positive cd57 how did you proceed.
Thank you.

(((((HUGS))))))

I know you're upset - I got my first CD57 in January at it was 19. I didn't get to my doc until late February and she started me on IV Rocephin (2g), increased my CO-Q10, fish oil and I'm on a plethora of other meds for illness resulting from the Lyme (tachycardia, anxiety). She hopes to keep me on this for 4 months to a year depening upon my progress. Still not feeling swift, so had another CD57 done 2 weeks ago. It dropped to a 15. But since the level goes UP very slowly, she thinks it went down between January and February when I started treatment. She thinks I have Ehrlichia & Bartonella as well (negative tests, but you know how that goes). So this Monday I start (in addition to the Rocephin) 400 mg daily of Doxy. The month after we're going to try to get to the cyst form and start Tinidazole (sp?) or Tindemax. She just doesn't want to do that now because I'm still herxing pretty badly - especially neurologically.

Go to a Lyme literate doctor - period. Most docs will put you on doxy for 30 days and say you're cured. I am lucky enough that my doc is proactive - perhaps someone on the board can direct you to a LLMD.

Keep us posted -hang in there -and big hugs,

Lala
