I have posted about my arm having what I believe is tendonitis from Levaquin I got two months ago. It became so bad I went to a physical therapist for ultrasound treatment. It is slightly better but I cannot use it. Yesterday I did a little exercise and now my lower back is seized up and I can feel sore spots next to the spine. I also had brief pain in one of my knees. I am not sure what this is and worried.
I always begin to herx or flare a week before the full moon - that is my 28 day cycle -but I have never had continuing body pain. Before I was diagnosed I had back pain for a month and later arm pain (the same one) for a month that resolved on it's own. I feel afraid to do anything right now out of fear another part of my body is going to seize up and I could tear a tendon. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi nefferdun.  I am sorry you are feeling so bad.  Lyme pain does wax, wane, and migrate around the body.

Are you on any treatment now?

I am using herbs - samento, hh, cumanda, grapefruit seed extract, reserveratrol
Before Levaquin I also had a "cramp" in my hip that stayed sore for weeks and a snap behind my knee that hurt for months but nothing like this. This is confusing. I would like to think it is a herx and not that my whole body is weakened and prone to tendon problems. I do not have my normal symptoms which is very strange - no headache, very few muscle twitches, can think fairly clear. . . I don't get it.
I have been taking a lot of grapefruit seed extract which can kill the cyst form of lyme - about 750 mg a day.
Thanks for responding ticker.

Hi nefferdun.  Lyme symptoms affect people differently.  How long have you been on this protocol?

I hope this lets up for you soon.

Samento/cumanda/grapefruit seed about 3 weeks and just got the HH and clove oil. I quit the abx because of dizziness etc. As Schaller says you have to take a very high dose to be effective, that is what I am doing.
I don't know what it is. I have had pain off and on but never for this long or this severe. It is strange. I always herx around the full moon so I hope I will feel better after that if I am just herxing on this stuff. It is so hard to tell what is happening. This is such an annoying disease! If it wasn't for the pain, I would feel fine because my usual symptoms are gone.
