I checked out the site- beware that using vitamin A at that level can cause vaginitis - indistiguishable from yeast-- i never use more than 200,000U/day for 5 days in my patients for that reason- it would be very confusing to a woman on antibiotic Lyme treatments- makes me leary of other advised, sorry to be a downer.

It did state "could use A", and for a short period of time, 7 days.  It did not state that you had or should use Vitamin A.

Thanks for the link KeepHope!  I love Wobie too, and stopped using it a year ago...think I'd better break that bottle out again!

Please don't take me wrong but I think a little vaginitis, which is inflammation of the vagina, is worth getting to feel better from Lyme Disease. That's just my own opinion.

And of course, anything should be researched and studied before trying. Good luck everyone and feel better soon!

hm..... I do not want to speak in favour of or against the Vit A in high dosages ...but it is interesting that it is mentioned in the lyme context.....

I can contribute this experience:

I used a very high Vit A med as med for acne about 15 years ago. Available only with perscription and regular blood checks. Side effects may be liver problems, kidney problems, hair loss - all this stuff; I never had those. I was told that his med is supposed to help when long term acne abx does NOT; it was very expensive at the time I took it. If I remember right, it goes directely into the sebaceous glands of the skin and eliminate the whole bacterial load. It was very effective for me - much much more than with the abx which made me sicker and my skin was even more in trouble. That of course makes me think when I was reading about it in the link.

I am also glad to hear the warnings !!! Good to know about possible side effects. We should always keep in mind that even the "natural stuff" may do a drastic job and have side effects we should at least know of.

Have a nice day all!! dorit

Thank you for all the responses. I do think it could be and obviously should be checked out and watched.
I am sure that you could modify this amount to be within safe amounts but I am unsure if you should disregard the whole protocol and idea based on that one thing?
Could you elaborate if that is the only reason why??
If the levels for that one thing were lower and in the range of what is acceptable would the rest be something that would be of value then?

Interesting indeed and worth researching...
