I don't know yet what my PCP will recommend or how much he knows about my Western blots from Quest, which I, amongst others, believe is significant, and at the very least shows exposure to Lyme, as well as antibodies to lyme presently in the blood. Why would I have the antibodies without having Lyme?

OK: IF I can convince my PCP to order tests from IGENEX, then my insurance should pay me for them.

My questions: Do you have a copy of the IGX Panels that are offered?  (if you email them, they will send to you. If you don't, I would try to post here, but don't know any way except thru email)

If you do have these test/panels with costs, would you please look at this and tell me what you would recommend?  Ill paste Igenex tests and costs below.

Just like everyone, I need to be tested for Bartonella and Babesia, possibly Rocky Mt. (it hit our dog park/woods). HECK, I NEED THEM ALL.

I already understand that the MASTER CO-INFECTION panel is probably the best. However, I have little money and need this test to count. Is there one I can start with and gain some necessary info which would could lead to a diagnosis?

I WILL do the master, as long as I can be reimbursed.

from the panels, I see that ala carte, the expenses are not that bad.  Igenex info pasted below.  I am very anxious for comments and opinions regarding the panel.  ie; WOULD ONE OF YOU VETERANS, OR OTHERS please

You can print a copy of the test request form from the IGeneX website http://igenex.com/files/PATIENT_TEST_REQUEST_FORM.pdf

I don't know about the coinfection tests, haven't had them done through IGeneX. I did mine through Fry labs, and they didn't find any coinfections at all even though I have a clinical diagnosis of Bartonella and personally also suspect I have Anaplasmosis (a type of ehrlichia).

Take care,

Thanks, Razzle! And sorry, I meant to paste the tests/prices and get opinions. Also I had questions about the co-infection panels. It doesn't look to me like they include Lyme, or do they? Was hoping to find one test that covered them all -- or at least lyme, babs, bart.

I am sorry for bringing this back to the top, because others' questions are just as important. But if there's anyone knowledgable about these tests and panels, I would consider advice on the best, minimum that would cover lyme, babs and bart. Some of them are cheap, but maybe just as reliable? (but we have no tick for tick test)

And maybe it will be helpful for other newbies here??

I don't believe I would test for Rcky Mt or Erlich, depending on the results.
