I am having a difficult time with heat.  It makes my tremors more pronounced and I sweat a lot.  I never used to sweat.  Even coming out of a hot shower makes me tired and very sweaty.  Anyone else, is this a Lyme symptom? Thanks.

Have you had your adrenal function tested? Low adrenals will make you unable to tolerate heat, even something as simple as a hot bath would make me very weak.  D

No, I haven't. Is this something the LLMD tests for our my PCP?  Is it a blood test?

It can be done with blood or saliva. A regular doc would probably test your cortisol level by blood, am & pm. An ND or holistic doc would most likely use the saliva test. That one you do four times througout the day. Depends on your doctor but any doc should be able to draw blood and test your cortisol level. D

Hi momtothree.  I believe Lyme, Babesiosis, and adrenal fatigue can cause heat intolerance.  I have this also.  Do you have Babesiosis?

From what I understand, saliva testing is more accurate for adrenal and hormone testing than blood testing is.  I had testing done through ZRT Lab http://www.salivatest.com/  Lyme disease can affect adrenal, thyroid, and other hormone levels.

I'm suffering very much from heat. Now I feel this day is my last day... I'm very close to faint, weak, dizzy and my brain fog is terrible. I wanted to call my doc but it's Sunday and he already told me that I should still wait for starting the ABx treatment... I don't know what to do when I feel I will faint :( I just have to sit on the floor many times.

Hi hope_29.  I am sorry you are feeling so bad.  Why did your doctor say to wait before starting treatment?  Is he doing things to strengthen your immune system first?  When are you supposed to start treatment?

If you feel you should call your doctor, you should regardless of what day it is.  I hope you feel better soon.

Ticker, thanks for the info.  My blood work was sent to Igenenx to test for Lyme and Erlichia.  LLMD thinks that I may have Bartonella but does not feel at this time, that testing should be done.  She said that there are something like 22 strains of Bartonella and Igenex right now only identifies two of these.  She said that every time she sees the rep she questions him about the new test for Bartonella that is coming out that would include all the strains.  Unfortunately, he told her not until next year.  Some of my symptoms are new like tolerating heat and the constant twitching of soles. I started back on the meds and I think the constant twitching may be a herx.  Plus I am exhausted and was not before the meds.  Right now Biaxin, 2000mg and 600mg of Refampin, plus countless vitamins and probiotics. I am going to check the Babesiosis treatment.  She did ask me if I was having a problem with heat specifically and then it was no.
