I have finally been diagnosed after 3 years and in second month of antibiotic treatment.  I am still having the long list of symptoms but definitely have more energy at the moment.  My question is I am getting a vibrating/pulsing on right temple and now also in back of head on right side.  Does this mean that the lyme is definitely in the brain?  The reason I am asking is I am going back in a few weeks and want to know if I should request a brain MRI.  Is it normal for them to run this? Will they treat differently if something shows up there?  One of my major symptoms which I believe suggests psychiatric/neurological lyme has been severe anxiety.  Thanks a lot. idea

Its great your on antibiotics, Did you test your blood pressure, sometimes high blood pressure may cause this feeling, you can get a blood pressure machine in your pharmacy and test a few times when you do and when you dont get this feeling and see if its your blood pressure, if its your blood pressure it can be treated with blood pressure meds and as you get better you can slowly get off the meds, I have this vibrating feeling and my endo suggested I do Magnisum and Vitamin B6, I am taking 400mg of Magnesium Citrate, 250mg of Calcium, 100mg of Vitamin B6 and 3000mg of Vitamin D, I do see a differnce, not sure if its the B6 or Magnesium, B12 deficiany can also cause this feeling, try to get yoru levels tested, Best Wishes for a quick recovery

Vibrating in the head was one of the annoying symptoms I had in the beginning of my long lyme-co-infection saga of many years. It did eventually go away as treatment continued. I had or have the white lesions in the brain shown by an mri- but the treatment remained the same. Just continue with treatment and you will improve. It is not quick but it will happen- hand in there and think positive. Blessings

I had a brain MRI and nothing showed up. "All clear" said the doctors. Yet I know my lyme is in my head/brain. I'm not saying don't get the MRI (to rule out tumors in your own mind, or whatever), just saying that if you believe strongly that your lyme is in your brain, it probably is. Seek treatment aggressively and think positive is my advice as well..

Try increasing your Magnesium and B12 and see if it improves. I believe that Lyme and ABX both deplete your mag level and causes the twtiching. Buzzing or vibrating is twitching's first cousin -- I think.

I'm not a doctor nor a Lyme researcher, but then there is no research! So, my guess is probably as good as any llmd.

Hello, I've been having this vibrating sensation in social situations causing panic attacks with the symptoms, shortness of breath and twitches etc. Also have neck pain due to using computer a lot. Anyone have any advice? I'm a 17 year old student and although out of a normal school routine trying not to let it ruin my education, but i feel like this pan in the back of head has more control over my mind making me very anxious.
