Well, I'm stuck here in lah lah land for a bit, awaiting first appt w/ LLMD. First, regarding Lyme, does/did anyone go thru recognition/identification with, then confusion, then denial --- wondering if you're overreacting or actually wanting or willing yourself to have something you don't have, just to have a reason for the ways that you feel? I'm left hoping to learn I have Lyme, for no other reason than the idiot I am becoming at work!
Anyway, I don't want anybody to put much effort in this -- I know there's much more important stuff on here, just asking in case you happen to know these things.
Lab question: My PCP did a horrific job of going over the lab tests that he ordered w/me. He did diagnose hypothyroidism. Maybe these other things mean something, maybe they don't.
On a previous test, he remarked that my B12 was too low. I don't know what signifies this on the lab work? On my newer test, my B12 is too high, and it is typed out under 'Vitamins'. What might it have been called on the previous test?
Also, my folic acid looks very high, compared to the ranges.
I could not understand the readings on the Viral ABS -- I can't even tell if it's saying something is normal or not normal -- I can't even follow it, and it references a misc lab note that is not there. Dr looked like he didn't understand it either and said there was nothing important. So why did he order the test?
On both tests, my MCV and MCH are too high. He did not seem to know what it meant when I asked him, except the size of my corpuscles. I haven't understood the stuff I've tried to read about it. If it's not important, then I won't worry about it.
My main question, if anyone knows, is that he ordered blood sample to test for 'inflammation'. I don't know what that would be on my labs, do you?
