I believe one answer may be that he is respected as one of the 'founding father's for treating Lyme cases in NY'.

(sorry about the biowarfare portion of the article; but if you scroll down and initiate 'find' and Dr. Burrascano's name; you can read some of the earlier testimony).

He was one of the original pioneers for treating Lyme, innovatively and w/combination abx; after treating thousands in NY, his protocol was developed and continues to be a foundational guide for up and coming physicians.

Each year, as emerging studies are published and the protocol is honed, there are revisions to incorporate a whole body approach to treatment. This year marks the 16th revision. He was willing to speak out publicly on behalf of long term treatment for Lyme patients.

The diagnostic hints and treatment guidelines are intended to serve just as that; a guide, definitely not as a god; however it is supported by countless case studies backed up by an impressive patient response. But, each individual, their immune condition, DNA-genetic predispositions, date of dx, co-infections and the multitude of variable must be considered; so one size does not fit all.

There are a growing number researchers and 'healers' amongst the Lyme community who are simply brilliant in terms of understanding the pathogens and in treating the whole body integratively to shift the paradigm of the host, stimulate the antibody responses, offload the complexities and complicating factors and treat from the core to include every system, in this multi-complex, multi-symptom disease...but, we do still need the cure.

Hope these help.
