It's a while ago I posted something. I was doing ok after I quit ABX, but dealing with yeast.  Two weeks ago suddenly I got flu like symptoms (stiff neck, aching joints, sore throat, swollen glands in my neck and very tired legs and a slightly nausea feeling ,) It lasted several days and then it went away. After three days the symptoms returned for several hours a day and now one day I'm perfectly fine and other days I have these symptoms for several hours.
What do you think: can it be Lyme again? It feels different than when my symptoms started in 2007...

EM rash oct. 24 2007, 10-30-08: doxy 100 mg. bid for three weeks. Felt better, but symptoms slowly got back and much worse
2-21-08 until 4-23-08: doxy 100 mg. bid (described by family doctor)
4-24-08: start doxy 200 mg. bid and Biaxin XL 1000 mg once a day (seeing an Infectious Disease Doctor)
8-8-08 until 8-21-08: adding Flagyl 500 mg. bid
8-21-08: off all ABX
9-17-08: doing herbs but symptoms slowly reappeared,so started Biaxin 500 mg. bid on 9-17-08
11-12-08: off abx, start Diflucan

it sounds to me like the lyme wasn't all eradicated with treatment - you probably know how hard it can be to kill all bacteria - as lyme is very good at hiding - untill the coast is clear - stopping abx. too soon is my guess - that this is what has happened - unless of course you have been re-infected

I would say you need to go back to whoever treated you and try abx. to maybe get more idea of what is going on. - I wish you well.

Definitely can be Lyme. These have been the same symptoms I've been struggling with for years and was misdiagnosed with CFIDS. Some days are better than others but the symptoms always seem to return. Try to get back on treatment and I hope you feel better.

I think one of our big issues is believing we got rid of LD, every time something bothers me I set  up an appointment with my LLMD and have cancelled it almost every time, I cant get myself out of LD Mode! If you feel you were treated well for Lyme Disease, this may be a simple flu, I had thyroid issues that felt exactly like Lyme Disease but went away when my thyroid issues resolved, I would recommend you go to a regular doctor, see if he finds something, retest for LD and see where it gets you, doesnt automatically mean if the symtoms are the same its LD,I am talking to myself now, this happens to me constantly, now I had some issues I thought were for sure LD and was encouraged by some on this board to supplement with vitamins and it got better, I am not saying my LD is gone but I am feeling good, I can work, clean my house, hopefully my immune system will take over from here and eradicate it all.
