I'm already taking a ton of medication so I asked my doctor to put me on Nystatin for yeast since it goes through your GI track and not your liver. I just realized that I have to take it 4 times a day. I thought it was only one time.

Does anyone else have to take it this much? Does it upset your stomach?

I take nystatin 2 tablets 3 times a day. Plus he has me taking diflucan twice a week. I have had major yeast problems and also thrush once. When I had the oral thrush I used a liquid nystatin to swish around and then swallow.

I had no side effects at all from it.

Kim: Thank you for replying. It makes me feel better that someone else is taking just as much as I am. I haven't had thrush yet but I do have yeast on my skin. Blah!

Kitty: Thank you too for relying. Does it upset your stomach at all? I was a little nauseated yesterday but I'm not sure if it was the Nystatin or a herx.

Cajun Girl-

No, I don't think so. I have been nauseous off and on anyway. I currently take Biaxin and Plaquenil. Adding Rifampin next week.

Beths,

I was told by my pharmacist not to mix any of them. She said it will be better absorbed taking them seperately at least two hours apart.
