...the ground is moving up and down beneath my feet...like I'm on some insane elevator ride or roller coaster standing up and I CANNOT FUNCTION. Everything I LOOK at is still and in place, but that is not how it feels in my head.
What the hell is doing this? This all just hit me 4 days ago...I must have a serious lesion on my cerebellum.

According to Google, vertigo may be caused by an infection of the inner ear.

Talk to your LLMD or see an ENT that specializes in the inner ear. The inner ear (from what I've read) can be aggravated by the weather were having due to sinuses. Do you have congestion?

Good luck! Let us know how you're doing.

If it is the inner ear sinus-labyrintitus thing, it can take a while to heal.

I honestly believe it's going around -- the viral illness anyway that could cause it.

I don't have any sinus problems...or ear problems...I wouldn't wish this on anyone but it does kind of freak me out that no one else has it.

Well, certainly not as bad as what you describe, but there are times I'm watching TV or a video game and if the screen either messes up, or the program actually has shaking in it, or whatever, or, really, if I look at anything that I don't expect to be shaking/gyrating/etc, I do actually have to look away at something that definitely won't be shaking, like the wall, to make sure its not my own eyes that's the problem....

I experience this quite often but I think to a much lesser degree than you do. I do constantly feel lightheaded and off blance though. I still find it hard to accept that LD can cause all of our problems but after looking back on the last 10 years of my life it certainly does explain quite a bit.

Good luck at your doctor's appointment this week.

I had the extreme vertigo in March, when I thought I was just dealing with a sinus infection. When it was mild it just felt like my head and my body were not quite on the same level. Like my mind was here and my body was here, but there was a gap between what they were doing. When it was extreme, I felt like I couldn't walk at all. Had to hold onto everything. It was when the vertigo was subsiding that I fell down the steps. I ws lucky I didn't knock my head open or break my neck!

Part of it seemed like it might be from being so tight in my neck and upper back, which was from the swollen lymph nodes, pushing on the surrounding muscles. I think it's the 8th cranial nerve that works together with the ears to keep the feeling of balance.

Just be careful! Keep hanging in there until you can get on treatment! It did go away!

Hey Jennifer,

I'm so sorry you are going through that. I appreciate you taking time out to reply to my post and helping me out even though you feel bad. I don't know what I would do if I were going through everything you are.

I'm not sure if it is vertigo or not but I had it years ago and it wasn't fun. They gave me meclizine(I'm not sure if I spelled it right), but it helped tremendously. It did make me a little sleepy though. I think there are antihistamines in it.
2003 symptoms started;panic attacks,anxiety,heightened senses.

Jendays, Babesiosis can cause this.  I am sorry you have it, I know it is a horrible symptom.  If it is from Babesiosis, it will get better with treatment.

I get a liquid sound in my ears. I sometimes lose my balance and feel dizzy. But this is easily corrected!!!

Green Vibrance

This stuff is a miracle food! Mix with non-acid juice or water. Or blend with your favorite fruit. A little acid is fine if you drink in less than 10 min after you make it.

Try this stuff before you go on prescription meds!!!! Or something similar....but I like this stuff the best. I have tested many kinds. I feel so GOOD after I drink this!
