Hi All,
I have no idea if anyone here will remember me turn as I've been gone for awhile. I have had my hands very full with everything that has been going on since I last checked in.
For those who remember me - I can explain-- if anyone wants to hear.
I am back for a number of reasons - of course I am a chronic LD sufferer, along with numerous other things going on in my lovely body!!! Also, I am finally getting out & around in town & am starting to send others here to learn about LD & other conditions that they may have, or wonder if they have.
So, just a quick hello smilewinkgrin and I will be around again!!!

Hi Traveler,

Welcome back!

I'm not sure if I joined after you took a break from the forum or if my brain fog is to blame but I don't remember. Heck, I don't remember much of anything these days and feel this is one of the few places where others will understand and I don't have to be as embarrassed about it all. lol

In any event, I would love to hear how you're doing and what you've been up to. Glad to hear you've been getting out and about. Hopefully, this is a sign that your condition has improved and will continue to do so.

I also have been sending others here through my nurse. I'm not yet to the point where I can get out much but hearing that you have been gives me hope.

Welcome back Traveler!   I am one of the "oldies" here and I remember your name, but not your story (thanks to "lyme brain" haha).   I am always happy to see people come back and help the "newbies" here, and also to give good news that they are doing better!   Sounds like you are "getting around" now and that is great news.   Again,   welcome back!    Best wishes,   bablymers mom

Wow!!! I surely didn't expect so many really nice replies!!!
THANK YOU, all!!!!
I have been able to 'stablize' somewhat. I still battle with re-infections & relapses - but have found my 'safe' levels of activity, so to speak.
I was infected with LD & who knows what else, as a very young child. I have wondered all of my life what was wrong with my health, as I never seemed to have any extended periods of any real health.
To make a very long story shorter- I had children (2), had a lot of really hard times (both with my health & with life in general) and finally got a Neuro Doc to dx me with STARI (Southern Tick Associated Rash Illness) aka Masters' Disease. I never got sufficiant (Crud!! I need spell check!!!! rolleyes ) treatment until 2007 - when I finally got in to see a LLMD.

I am too far away from any LLMD now - at home- so I have to make due with a doc who is at least Lyme friendly. He will read most anything I bring to him & he doesn't hesitate to put me on abx when needed.

I am able to do a lot of little things around the house now, play in a small garden - now that hubby's home to do a lot of the rest of those things that I cannot yet do.
So I figure it's a lot better than being house bound - which I was until fairly recently - and am able to enjoy what I can of life. Of course -like a lot of other 'Lymies' - I have no friends, but I do have some family around. I decided that life was still pretty good!! smilewinkgrin

So, that's most likely the most I have ever shared about me anywhere!!! I now concentrate on helping others to understand the dangers of LD, and am just starting to find them in my own home town & are referring them to websites, support groups (on-line, as there is no such thing in this area & I'm not capable of that level of activity-as of yet anyway) & anything else I can think of!!!!

Anyway, thank you all for nice a nice, warm welcome!!! I am really looking forward to getting to know those I don't & "re-connecting" with those that remember me!!!!

PS - I can't get the italic button to stop!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! smhair
