I have not been eating any sugar either....I have insulin resistance - not sure if the lyme is causing this. I try to eat a lot of vegetables, I also eat chicken most days. The protein helps me with my sugar problem - I stay away from foods that are high in carbs.
One of the biggest problems that I have encountered is I'm over the past nine months developed allergies/sensitivities to all kinds of foods - for example, I use to be able to eat carrots, tomatoes, peanut butter and oatmeal - now when I eat them my throat starts to itch and swell. Somedays I feel like it is a chore to find something to eat that is not going to bother me.
