Yeast die off can mimic Lyme die off. I just wanted to let people know as I see people talk about it with Diflucan. You can also get yeast die off with garlic, grapefruit seed extract, and many other herbals (tannins, Berberine, ...)

If you are on Diflucan and having die off - I usually have patients reduce the dose to 100 mg every 3 days until symptoms improve then gradually increase it to every other day and then daily. Hope this helps someone.

Pcpc,

I take garlic supplements. I'm wondering if that is why I've been having chills? I don't know if it was all the meds I took at once.....Biaxin, Nystatin and Mepron that started it up or if it's the garlic. Maybe the garlic is irritating what I had already started?

Anyway, thanks for the info. It is very helpful.

Btw, I've been taking high doses of Vitamin C. Could that cause a herx? I feel like my symptoms get worse when I take it. I sometimes have mood swings too. My pain pills seem to help the mood swings though.
