How is it ok to take doxy?

I am to take it 2 times a day. so i have been doing it at 12 and 12 is that right? Then i have to take the acidophilus at bedtime does it interfere w the doxy at bedtime?

I was told to take 'doxy' in the morning then 'acidophilus' about 12 noon then 'doxy' again at around 3.00 pm.

you don't have to space your 'doxy' dose out to twelvw hour intervals - some people [if they can stomach it ] take all the 'doxy' [daily dose] in one dose - apparently it is good to get the antibiotic levels in the blood - as high as possible - this was told to me by LLMD and ex-lymie. - I couldn't take 'doxy' in one daily dose as it was too harsh on my digestive system.

I wouldn't take it in one dose. It will probably get your stomach upset. You can space it out 8 hours apart. Who told you 12 hours? Only Mepron is to be spaced out 12 hours.

Also, you should take you acidophilus 2 hours after or 2 hours before your meds. 2 hours after is usually best so the bacteria can build up and not be killed off again by the antibiotics. It is also good to take a night dose too.

Yes it is... I just took it 12 hrs apart cuz it said twice a day.

8 hours apart is definitely okay. My doctor and my pharmacist told me this.

i tried that 12 hr thing for 2 days, didn't work, i actually missed a dose. i went to 8am and then again at 5pm.. it works better for me that way.

and then you get that yummy copper taste in your mouth like your sucking on a penny.


its a lot easier on your stomach to have something in your belly before you take doxy eat a small breakfast then take the pill.

I was on it 3x per day 200mg each
