I am also wondering about my dosage. LLMD was not going to start treatment until all labs were back (he tested for other stuff too), but has called in this script because of my new tick bite.  I don't really want a higher dose because of the heartburn it caused (I did not lay down!), but from what I've read 100 mg 2X daily is not the usual dose for a new bite and/or treating lyme.
Man, this is a rough one for me because I need my milk and rolaids!  I am also addicted to Starbucks mocha frappicinno w/ extra mocha! Typically, the vinte will last me 2 days, so it's not like I gulp it.
So, how strict is this no dairy products 2 hrs prior and 2 hrs after?  Could I have tiny sips of my Starbucks?  Could I have tiny sips of milk?  Or will this ruin everything?
I've gone to do research, but need to know if the 2 drugs in subject are one and the same?
ps: it seems to give me very slight lightheadedness -- kinda feels good. Is this the drug or my imagination?
pps: on the drug info page I am reading, it says it can be taken w/ a glass of milk.  What do you think? this could SAVE me!!

Lyme in NC in 1971? Suspect TBI: Fully engorged tick followed by high fever and tonsillitis. Follwed by , lumps on neck,  chronic tonsillits w/ constant low grade to recurring high (104) fevers, severe unexplained neck stiffness and acute neck pain.   Followed by tonsillectomy, urinary tract infections, miscarriage, appendicitis while pregant, chronic severe back pain. Followed by depression, mild anxiety, mitral valve prolapse, and hypglycemia.  Was this a TBI??
Bit again couple of times, lyme suspect bite Mother's Day 2007. Bite, symptoms, lyme specific antibodies on the most lyme specific band of all = 39 IgG.  Still awaiting appt w/ LLMD.
