My foot has hurt a bit for the last 3 or 4, but then within 2 hours my foot got to the point where its hurtiing so bad i can't even walk on it barely. Can I take alieve, or should I not take anti-inflamatories, what can i take ? lol, i thought I would be getting better not worse.

Hi zizziz.  It should be okay to take an anti-inflammatory.  What helps me the most is Advil Liquid Gels, but I have never tried Aleve.  When treating Lyme, it is normal to feel worse before feeling better.

I hope the pain eases up for you soon.

zizziz, I believe I've read that people with LD should not take anti-inflammatories.  What i've seen some people recommend is Stinging Nettle.  Buhner mentions this in his book Healing Lyme.  Hope this helps.

zizziz, I know that people with LD are not suppose to take steroids at all, but I think what I read was also referring to over the counter anti inflatories too. KO
