As a psychologist who has lyme and its buddies for many years and who is in the business of change.... I think it may be time to share somethings about imagination with all of you wonderful long-suffering fellow forum members who have shared so much with me. The most important is "if you can see it-it can be". Imagination begets vision--and vision begets reality. What you see is what you get.

With this disease it is easy to get worn out, frustrated, sad, depressed and so on when you find yourself and your doctors chasing those invisible enemies of your body. I have felt all of those feelings many times. However there are a few things that keep me positive when I find myself getting off course. One is my spiritual faith and the other is the knowledge that what we fear we get, and if we can see it.. it can be. So envision WELLNESS and WHOLENESS.

There is a law of attraction active in all of our lives and if we find ourselves saying things like "I am never going to get better" then you won't. Antibiotics are bad for me--then they will be, etc. While we need to acknowledge our disappointments, we sometimes need to say the opposite of what we think. We are so used to feeling bad sometimes we expect it as well, and we get it. When we try...even in our misery to expect the best..... things will begin to turn around. In this way we change our minds to expect good rather than status quo or worse. What you say you are, then so you will be. Do you ever notice that what you fear the worse actually happens? It is the fear that makes it so. Therefore begin by saying positive things to yourself silently and out loud. And you will attract those positive things to yourself.

Train yourself to get in the habit of saying:
I am going to get better
I am going to feel better
I am going to find a doctor to treat me
I am going to find a way to pay for my treatment
Good will come out of my misery
This medicine is going to work
I am not alone
I am going to get stronger
I will get my life back
If my family doesn't understand there are others who do

The list could go on and on. You know what negativity you have been attracting to yourself. How has that been working for you? Maybe you need to try something different. That is how we can OUTSTARE THE DARKNESS.
Try it it just might work!

You are right those laws are very strong although many do not believe that, and that is the very reason they dont see improvement.
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.

Minerals, this is definitely the kind of advice we need! Thanks! I totally agree that whatever we tell our bodies, they will listen to what we say. THAT seems to ALWAYS happen,

so my question is .... how come it doesn't work for winning the lottery??

I have posted my affirmations before, but I really like them so will post again: (ps: I've been very bad about doin them for quite awhile.

'I am incredibly strong, healthy and young.'

And: ' My entire body is totally free of all pain, disease, and fatigue'.

You gotta keep chanting them, during everything you do!

Suspect TBI in 1972.  Attacked tonsils (recurring high fevers, constant low grade fevers, chronic tonsillitis) , pregnancy (miscarraige), appendix, heart (mitral valve prolapse), hypoglycemia, depression, chronic acute neck and back pain.

Thanks for sharing this hun. I've always believed this but for some reason, it is hard for me to believe sometimes when I am at my worst with this diesease. I will try to imagine my life feeling good again. Ive done this before with things that Ive wanted in life and its always worked. Its like your mind finds a way to get it. Its really weird the way it happens.

Thanks for reminding about this. More positive thinking is on the way for me.
